Manorama News gears up for interactive show with ‘news on demand’

By pvharikrishnan

After a fanfare Manorama launched its News channel. But for me it is a big flop.  Like in Magazines and Newspapers they are trying to trivialise Television News too.

“Manorama News, a 24-hours Malayalam news channel that went on air on August 17, is gearing up to launch a weekly news programme on the lines of ‘News You Can Demand’. Viewers can request any story, segment or moment that they would like to view again through phone, SMS, email or logging on to the channel’s website, and the channel would replay the requested story.

“Rather than pre-defined stories to be chosen from, this could be any story, segment or moment that the viewer can choose to demand,” said Anil George, COO, Manorama News. “
